About Me

Lekhaj Daggubati, MD, is a fellowship trained Neurosurgeon with Washington Brain and Spine Institute serving Northern Virginia and Maryland. He has completed two fellowships in Neurosurgical oncology with a specialization in malignant and benign tumors throughout the nervous system. His focus is in minimally invasive approaches for cranial and spinal neurosurgery including, laser interstitial thermal therapy, radiosurgery, and endoscopic skull base surgery and endoscopic spine surgery. Dr. Daggubati strives for improved patient outcomes by incorporating enhanced recovery protocols and leveraging the latest in perioperative and intraoperative technology.

Academically, Dr. Daggubati has published over 30 peer-reviewed publications, 2 book chapters, and over 50 abstracts/talks/presentations. He is an ad-hoc reviewer for World Neurosurgery, Intervential Neuroradiology, and Cureus and has served as a mentor for many medical students and current residents.

Dr. Daggubati also has expertise in Data Science with a Masters in Data Sciences from Northwestern University with a specialization in artificial intelligence. In the age of Big Data and advancing computing capability, he seeks to champion the utilization of machine learning and advanced data science technology to the field of neurosurgery.
