New patients
A first visit is a conversation about what you are experiencing, a careful examination, and a review of your imaging on screen with you. You will leave knowing what is going on and what the realistic options are.
Before your visit
- Complete the new-patient intake form online.
- Have your MRI or CT images sent to us electronically or bring the disc. Reports alone are not enough; Dr. Daggubati reviews the images himself.
- Gather prior notes from physicians, physical therapists or pain specialists who have treated the problem, and a list of injections or treatments tried.
- Write down your current medications and doses, including blood thinners and supplements.
- Bring a photo ID and your insurance card. Check whether your plan needs a referral.
What to expect
Plan on about 45–60 minutes for a new visit. Bring a family member if you like; a second set of ears is welcome. If surgery is discussed, you will receive the written preparation guide for that procedure and a direct line to the surgical coordinator.
Insurance
The practice participates with most major commercial plans, Medicare and many Medicare Advantage plans through Privia Health. Call (301) 718-9611 to confirm your plan. Prior authorizations for imaging and surgery are handled by our office.
Second opinions
If you have been told you need brain or spine surgery and want another view, bring your imaging and the recommendation you received. Second-opinion visits are common and welcome.
